Today seemed like a wonderful day for some fall shopping, the new styles having came in. And Honey Lemon is in desperate need of some New York weather friendly clothes, her Cali things will not cut it for winter. At the moment she is perusing over long sleeve shirts and sweaters.
Having disposable income is a wonderful thing. Darcy takes some time to update her wardobe and finds herself in a similar area as the bespeckled blonde. The New Yorker smiles, warm and friendly.
"Hi." she chirps, just to see if the other woman will respond.
Honey Lemon perks up as Darcy walks over, offering a friendly smile as she responds, "Hello." She pau ses to ask, "Pardon for the possibly odd question from a total strange but.. how long have you been living in New York?"
"New York City? About a year. Why?" Darcy replies, green eyes lowering back to the clothes. She fingers the sleeve of a shirt as if considering it.
Honey Lemon offers a nervous smile, "Oh I just moved here. And could use abit of advice on how heavy a sweater or thick a shirt to grab so I not freeze. I am from Cali so, most of things or more on the thin side and I am not wanting to have to put on ten layers just to go to my lab or my classes."
That nervous smile draws Darcy in, happy to help as she can.
"Cali girl, huh? I've got a girl-friend from Cali. She likes the fleece lined hoodies for this kind of weather, and leggings under her jeans," Darcy replies helpfully, noting the words lab and classes.
Honey Lemon offers a nod, "Cool then I should grab some of that." She was about to turn to go off towards the jackets before she looks to Darcy once more, "I'm Aiko, would you mind maybe helping me pick out stuff? I have a good fashion sense but when it comes to this kinda stuff I am a little less insync with it just yet."
"Sure. I don't mind," says Darcy, moving to fall into step with the other woman. She offers a hand.
"I'm Darcy. Or Darce. Or Tits. You know, whatever," she bubbles, unashamed by any of it.
