Spider-Man couldn't stay away, even if Spider-Woman showed signs of healing. So, he had ridden with her to Triskelion. He had followed her, unaware that there was a smear of her blood on his suit.
He had watched as Spider-Woman was analyzed, stabilized, and medicated for the pain. Now they were in a hospital room, a place where Spidey detected the telltale smells of alcohol, betadine, and desperation.

Spider-Woman was still masked, but they had to expose part of her body to work on her. It had been a through-and-through. The doctor said she was lucky. "Yeah, I bet she felt REAL LUCKY…" he had said icily, and the doctor had left them alone.
Now, Spidey was sleeping the sleep of exhaustion, but his forearm was still resting on hers, his hand on hers. He did not sleep well.

Silk had gone to the Triskellion as well, riding with Deadpool, leaving Spider-Woman in Spidey's hands. It had taken them some time to not only secure Deadpool, but to make sure he was safe enough and study him before Silk could enter.

But, after some time invested, she had good news to report. And, she'd asked to be shown to where Spider-Man and SpiderGwen were, if they were still around. A kind enough Agent gave her directions, and it's not too long after that she's knocking, lightly, on the door to Gwen's room.

"It's Silk. Spider-Man? Spider-Woman? I've got good news. And came to check on you." Her voice is quiet, enough to breech the door, but not so loud as to wake anyone who might be sleeping in this room, or others. It was a nasty fight, afterall.

Gwen stirs slightly, opening her eyes behind the mask in a foggy sort of confusion. She can see the room. See the HUD inside her eye lenses. But Spider-Man is there, too. Something's wrong…he's…down? Sitting bolt upright and sucking in a deep gasp, she realizes her body's broken, and she groans, falling back on the pillow. "Spider-Man…?" Wherever she is, whatever happened must have taken them both down.

Spidey JERKS awake, gragging the rail of the hospital bed. For a moment, one can see panic on his face. Then he sees Spider-Woman, and then Silk. "OH! Jeez…" he sags slightly, then sees Gwen and his breath catches. "Spider-Woman…you okay?" Because he can't remember if he told Cindy who Spider-Woman was…

"Hey," Silk calls quietly, still in costume herself. Spider-Man isn't the only one plauged by exhaustion, Silk hasn't even slept yet, she's running on empty but couldn't live with herself if she didn't check in on her fellow Spiders before heading home to crash.

She closes the door behind herself, quietly and frowns behind her red veil as she sees Spider-Woman in pain. She doesn't ask the same question that Spider-Man did, though she was going to.

Instead, she offers, "We were able to get Deadpool - cured. But he's staying in confinement for the next twenty-four hours to just be certain." The way she says 'cured' is a bit odd.

"I'm just dandy," Gwen replies. "But I need….this…" She is tugging at her mask. "I need it off…" She is still watching Spider-Man carefully even as she tugs in vain. "Are you all right Spidey? Are you hurt? There's blood. Oh god there's blood…" TUG!!

"Relax…! Relax…lemme help." He reaches to help her with the mask. "It's okay…it's not my blood. Take a deep breath." He looks to Silk, then back to Gwen as he helps lift it. "What the heck did they do to him, Silk?"

"The best I can tell, that WAND can tell, is they killed him. And then twisted his ability to regenerate against him. But, they couldn't snuff out his personality. It was - buried underneath all of that. I was - well, I figured out how to reach him," she says, without going into detail.

"Once he started to well, show signs he was him again, the WAND agent was able to do the rest." She pauses, "He's - well, …," she fidgets slightly, uncomfortable, "Normal. I mean, really normal. Same personality. But, no more scars."

She turns, politely, so as not to see Gwen's face. Afterall, the two hardly know each other. And, she doesn't even know the older woman's name. A token of respect, and courtesy.

"Too bad they didn't leave him dead. That's all he cares about, anyway," Gwen snipes, as she can finally breathe, and she sighs. "You don't have to turn around, Silk. I wouldn't have taken it off if I cared." With the condition she is in, no one would likely recognize her from photos anyway. "You two are all right, then? Not hurt? Did you get the number of the bus that hit me?"

Spidey winces at that. "Yeah. It was the .45 bus running the Hollowpoint route. Broke your collarbone, but they set it before your healing went to work. We're okay…just ticked off that Giovanni got away, saying he got what he wanted, even though he left the kids and Wade behind." He put Gwen's mask on the nearby tray table. "I'm just glad you're okay. I spent the last few hours thinking the blackest thoughts I own about Giovanni and his jackhole 'god.'"

Silk turns back around. And, she nods to Gwen, then. She exhales. "You, and everyone else," she comments on the end of Peter's comment of dark thoughts and Giovanni. "But, it sounded like he's turned on the Nightfall."

This causes her to frown beneath her veil and she moves to sit down, making a sound of exhaustion as she does so. "I'm just glad you're okay," she says earnestly to Gwen. "Not sure what I can do, but if I can help in any way, just let me know. I'm just a call away."

"I'm be okay. My healing is good. Just not as fast as I'd like, is all." Gwen smiles faintly. "Have you guys…even slept?" She looks from Spidey to Silk. "You have to keep up your strength, y'know."

Spidey looked sheepish. "I wanted to be awake when you…woke up. Guess I couldn't even manage that. But you're okay now. You're mending…that's all that matters." He looked to Silk. "Is Wade coherent, or is he off with the fairies trying to put together his brain?"

"He's coherent, and like I said. Cured. Himself." She knows everyone has a lot on their mind, so she asks, to try again, "Have either of you ever seen him with his mask off?" Curious. She doesn't sound disgusted, far from it. Nervous, more like it. Worried?

Silk shakes her head at Gwen, commenting, "No. I've been too worried about you both."

Gwen reaches over and pats Spidey's arm reassuringly. "I've seen him," she replies to Silk. "And you said no more scars. Which should make him happy, I'm sure. I wish him the best of luck with it." She leaves off with that, however and furrows her brow, watching Spidey, who seems….haggard and haunted.

Spidey said quietly, "I've seen glimpses. He's unlike anyone I've ever met. He's crazier than an outhouse rat, but he is VERY functional. And he seems to think highly of me. No idea why." He looks to Silk. "Maybe you should see about checking yourself out and going home. You look next door to dead." He looks to Gwen. "And YOU need to get some more rest before you can try being ambulatory. BUT…I'll get you your favorite takeout."

Silk nods to Spider-Woman, puzzled, or looking vaugely troubled by something. But, she doesn't call attention to it, instead, she nods. "Yeah. No scars." She leaves it at that, before sighing, and nodding to Spider-Man.

"Yeah. You're right. I should." She exhales, tiredly, "Rest well, both of you. Spider-Woman, heal quickly. My offer stands, if you need me. Call."

She nods to Spider-Man. "See you later. I'm going to go take your advice."

"Silk. Thank you. For everything," Gwen says sincerely. "Please rest. And be okay. You know that you can talk to us about anything. Anytime. This life isn't fun and games, and you see a lot of stuff at first that you weren't prepared to see. We can help you…Don't hesitate to let us."

Spidey nods. "I'll give you a call in 12 hours, see how you're doing…and let you know how we're doing, as well." He took a deep breath. "You did good, Silk. Both of you did.

Silk's cheeks draw up, suggesting she is smiling, if not tiredly. "Thanks," she returns to both of them, then just as sincerely she looks to Gwen. "I will. Promise." The offer seems to, if only momentarily, lighten her emotional burdens. She moves to the door, "I'll catch up with both of you soon."

"Good…Rest well. We'll tackle the rest of this, soon enough. And I'm sure I'll see you soon, Silk."

Spidey nods and waves to Silk.
