Background

No one is really certain of Isis origins except that she had been raised in AIM Laboratory and facility. Isis was discovered by an X-Man telepath during a dream walk she initiated.

It took sometime to locate her, but eventually the X-Men did and they raided the facility she was kept in. What they found was a young woman with feline like attributes who had strong Empathic and Dream Walking abilities. It was determined, based on the records that were recovered, that Isis had grown up there and had been the result of experimentation.
Born with feline attributes, her telepathic abilities appear to have been activated by the project she was the subject was. The result created a tool for AIM to use.

Two years passed, during which time Isis underwent rehabilitation and counselling, plus schooling at Xaviers Institute. She left when she turned eighteen and headed into Mutant Town where she found the Morlocks - mutants more like herself, the inhuman looking or natured ones. She didn't join the Morlocks but made lots of contacts, eventually coming to trust them and them her.

Now, she finds casual work in M- Town and manages to scrape enough together to work. It's better than being someone elses pet project.

Powers

Empathy

Can influence and detect emotions - The distance of a ballroom; Influence up to 100 people. The influencing effect doesn't change whether it's focussed on one person, or many.

Dreamwalking

Can enter the dreams or daydreams of those within 1 city block. When in the dream they can:

• Observe the dream: Up to 4 hours passively or as long as the dream / daydream persists, whichever is shorter. Only 1 Target can be watched.
• Communicate: Once in the dream, Isis can speak with the target and have them remember the discussion when they wake.
• Manipulate the dream: including changing the landscape, create dreams/nightmares, remove or add components, replicate memories to inspect: up to 1 hour for a dream and 5 minutes for a daydream. Only 1 Target can be manipulated.
• Share the dream: with up to 4 others provided those others are within 1 city block and asleep. The dream can only be shared for 2 hours before the observation and sharing is terminated.
• Dreamtraveller: Travel through the Dream Dimension to another physical location.
  • Using a sleeping mind within 1 block of her, Isis can enter the Dream Dimension and travel up to the equivalent of the United States. There must be a sleeping mind at the exit of her journey.
  • The journey will always take 5 hours and 43 minutes, no matter how far the true distance travelled is and no matter how long the journey in the Dream Dimension takes.
  • Can only do this once every seven nights.

Feline Attributes

Isis's fingernails become short sharp retractable claws on demand. They can rend flesh, bone, stone, wood and some metals such as aluminium or steel. Stronger metals may be scratched or scored. Isis is able to use them like small daggers when fighting. Her agility, balance and coordination is just above peak human performance. She is capable of dodging high velocity projectiles with moderate or strained effort if prepared. She can balance easily on surfaces and spaces that most humans would fall off of. She can run at up to 30 mph for an hour and 15mph for six hours and from a standing start, jump three times her height. With an appropriate run up, that jump extends to seven times her height.

Enhanced Senses

Due to her feline nature, Isis has enhanced senses.

• Enhanced Smell- Fourteen times stronger than a human.
• Enhanced Sight- Field of view of 200 degrees and able to see in extremely low light conditions
• Enhanced Hearing- Max 64kHz

Combatant

Isis is trained in small firearms, hand to hand combat and the use of daggers. Far from a master in any of these, Isis can still hold her own against most.

Stealth

Whilst far from a ninja, Isis is able to move silently and quickly, use shadows and terrain to her advantage and avoid most surveillance measures if she knows about them.

Quick Thinker

Trained from a young age to infiltrate and interact with others dreams, Isis has to be able to think quickly.

Advantages

Xaviers

Rescued from AIM by the XMen, and given subsequent rehabilitation and counselling, Isis has been cleared by the Institute. She has access to the standard resources and the school grounds should she need them.

Morlocks

Isis is known to, is somewhat trusted by and has contacts among the Morlocks.

Flaws

Must Sleep

For Isis to be able to enter others dreams she must be asleep or able to achieve a meditative state to access people's daydreams. This leaves her vulnerable to physical attack.

Lucid Dreamers

Lucid Dreamers can actively combat and interact with Isis whilst she is dreamwalking.

Strong Wills and Telepathic Shields

Telepathic Shields may make it nearly impossible for Isis to enter the targets dreams. At the very least, she has to work a lot harder to get in. Those with strong wills aren't generally able to stop her entering their dreams but they can resist any influence she may exert once in there.

Don't Wake Up!

Should the target wake up whilst Isis is still in the dream, the shock is intensely painful and she will be disoriented and unable to protect herself for up to fifteen minutes.

Dream Energy Vampire

Isis feeds from the dreams of those around her. She requires the equivalent of one dream every three night taken as small bits from a number of people (over multiple nights) which is generally not noticeable. If she can't feed, she is weakened, not only unable to use her abilities but also exhibiting physical weakness and even illness. If she takes too much from one person the target feels unrested and unsettled.

Increased Metabolism

Due to Isis's mutation, she requires twice as much nutrition as an average person.

Inhuman Appearance

Isis's feline-like appearance is obvious and it's difficult for her to be accepted in public. She has small feline like ears, slitted pupils and retractable claws in her fingernails. In addition, whilst the majority of her facial features are human, there's a distinct feline 'feel' to them.

Instinctive Behaviour

Created to be a weapon, Isis was encouraged, if not pushed to act on her more animal instincts. This often results in erratic behaviours by 'polite standards' and the behaviour is exacerbated by others responses to her. Isis can generally recover within about fifteen minutes if the external stimulus is removed.

Dream Travelling

Travelling through the Dream Dimension can be very dangerous. It's possible to meet other travellers or inhabitants there and not all of them are sanguine about interlopers.

Empathic Feedback

Isis can be influenced by strong emotions around her. A mild response by one person is unlikely to have an effect. A very strong emotion from one person is likely to push Isis' Instinctive Behaviour to a minor degree. Multiple strong emotions affect her Instinctive Behaviour to a great degree.
